Intro to EECS Robot Kit Prototype
A low-cost small robot platform with multiple distance sensors, designed as a plug-and-play replacement for the expensive ADEPT robots in MIT's intro EECS class — intended for use in an online course. Contract work for MIT.
Contract work — MIT
MIT's introductory EECS class used ADEPT robots costing several thousand dollars each. This project designed a small, low-cost replacement platform equipped with photoresistors and distance sensors that would run the existing classwork code without modification — enabling an online version of the class to ship affordable kits to students.
What I did: Hardware design and systems integration code (Arduino: wiring and coordinating photoresistors, distance sensors, and motors).
